New Gym

The new gymnasium has been opened for use by full club members for three weeks now and membership take up has been incredible, the committee would like to thank all who are participating with usage and hope the health benefits will be widespread. Anyone who is a member of the club can enrol to be a member of the gymnasium and application forms can be requested from the club`s bar staff.

The gymnasium has been made possible through the efforts of the various individuals who have given their precious time and undoubted skills without payment to ensure this project was delivered as economically as possible for the club. It is an asset from which the club will reap the benefit both on and off the pitch for many years to come. When the original clubhouse was built in 1978 many of the trades people of the day gave an extraordinary amount of time to give the village rugby club a base to build on, and the gym is just the latest piece of the jigsaw to fall into place. It is wonderful to think that the values of the 1970`s of giving freely to the cause has continued to this day and it is with great respect we thank all the boys and a few girls who have been instrumental in ensuring the completion of this project. You know who you are, once again we thank you.
